On March 10, 2018, Catherine Zeng held a personal charity piano concert titled "We Are New Sunshine." The 1,400-seat Beijing Poly Theater was packed, and the concert garnered widespread attention and enthusiastic support from all sectors of society, raising over 2.4 million yuan in donations. All proceeds were donated to the Beijing New Sunshine Charity Foundation to establish the "New Sunshine - WAB Special Fund," which supports the operation of ward classrooms and assists families of children with leukemia. The "New Sunshine - WAB Special Fund" has already funded the operation of ward classrooms in Beijing, Kunming, Jinan, and other locations, serving over 10,000 young patients.

The World Health Organization (WHO) also sent a video, praising Catherine Zeng and the efforts and contributions made by the New Sunshine Student Union of West Academy of Beijing, which she founded and led, for leukemia children.

The concert featured Yu Long, the conductor of the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Catherine Zeng, the Youth Ambassador of the New Sunshine Charity Foundation, and performances by the China Philharmonic Orchestra. Lyricist Zhu Hai and composer Bian Liunian co-created the song "Love of Beijing." Additionally, renowned international pianist Li Yundi and cellist Zhu Yibing attended as special guests and delivered exceptional performances. This charity and music event, which brought together many notable figures, aims to spread sunshine and love through exquisite music, encouraging more people to join in supporting children with leukemia, overcoming challenges together, and embracing a brighter future!
